Real name Domenico Riccio ; pupil of Ca- rotto, according to Ridolfi, or of Niccolo Giolfino, according to Lanzi. Studied later in Venice the works of Titian and of Gior- gione, and learned to imitate their styles, though not without some originality. His mural and panel works are to be seen chiefly in Verona. His excellence as a fresco painter Vision of St. Bruno, Guercino, Bologna Gallery. is shown in the Entry of Clement VH. and Charles V. into Bologna, which he painted in a hall of the Casa Ridolfi, Verona.
