Mecklenburg, Aug. 26, 1822, died at Portici
in Oct., 1884. Landscape painter, pupil in
Düsseldorf of Aug. Weber, and in Paris of
Lambinet; studied much after Corot, Diaz,
and Daubigny, whose manner greatly influenced
