"(C) Any reference to a corporation shall be treated as a reference to an applicable em- ployer. "(D) The provisions of subsections (b)(2)(C), (b)(4), (b)(5), and (d)(5) shall not apply. "(2) DEFINITIONS AND SPECIAL RULES. For purposes of this subsection: "(A) DEFINITIONS.--Any term used in this subsection which is also used in section 162(m)(5) shall have the meaning given such term by such section. "(B) APPLIC?U?LE SEVERANCE F?On PLOYMENT. The term 'applicable severance from employment' means any severance from employment of' a covered executive-- "(i) by reason of an involunta?T ter- mination of the executive by the employer, or
