quitted it the next year. Edmund Shibi i i auoceeded 1 1 tfa Feb. 1458, and having
resigned it for Brampton to John Morton, he was made
archdeacon of Stow 1471- Rob] r 1 Wychede, collated 19th Sept. 1462. William Stedyn, LL. B., installed 1478. He died
2nd March [4978. John Chambbi was installed 6th Sept. 1494, and he
quitted for Leighton Buzzard in 1509. Richabd Rawston, LL.l)., succeeded in 1509. Thomas Swayne, installed 13th Feb. 151718. lie
quitted it for Ailesbury. John BuBGES, installed 9th Jan. 1518-19. He cliangcd
it for Gretton with Geobge 11 i.nm.aok, LL.B., 6th June 1521. lie soon
quitted it. Thomas Magnus, collated 25th March J522. Died
28th Aug. 1550. He resigned two years before John Taylor, or Tayloub, S.T.P., dean of this church,
took this stall 16th March 1548-9. He was promoted
to the bishopric. Matthew Pabkeb, S.T.P., his successor in the dean- ery, took this stall 8th July 1552. He was deprived
or forced to resign it in i 554. Edmund Piebpont, S.T.P., installed 9th Jan. 1554-5;
succeeded by Gawin Hodgson, on whose quitting it for Langford
manor in 1556 Francis Mallet, S.T.P., dean of this church, took it
1556, on whose death John Aylmeb, S.T.P., afterwards bishop of London,
became collated 26th April, and installed 5th May
I57I- Richard Tayleb came in the year 1572 or 1573, vice
Aylmer resigned.
