John held the office of chancellor in i i 2 1 30 . Baldwin; who was bishop of Worcester in 1180, and

archbishop of Canterbury in 1 184' 1 . Hugh de Garherst was chancellor in 1214, 3rd April

1218, and 15th Aug. 1219--. Roueut was chancellor in 1221, 1222, and 1224- 3 . Edmund de Abingdon was chancellor of Salisbury in

1230. Robert Herford was chancellor xi Cal. Sept. (22nd

Aug.) 1232-', and xvii Cal. Apr. (16th Mar.) i233-4 2:> . Adam, in 1 238 -". Ralph de Heytham or Hegham was chancellor prid.

Id. Apr. (1 2lh) 1243-"; he held the office in j 262 and

in 1270-". He died soon after. Simon de Mictiam was chancellor iv Cal. Apr. (29th

March) 1272- 9 . He became dean of this church circa

1286. Ralph of York held the office xv Cal. Jun. ( 1 8th May)

1288'. He had the King's letters of protection 1 ith

Dec. 1296, and again 22nd Feb. 1296-7. He died in

1309. William de Bosco was collated ix Cal. Dec. (23rd

Nov.) 1309 : void by the death of Ralph of York 31 . Henry de la Wyle was collated 1st March 13 1 213 :

void by the death of W. de Bosco 3 -. He held the

office in 1327; and was the proctor of Nicholas de la

Wyle, prebendary of Wodeford.
