Constitution of the Republic of South Africa, 1996

(Act No. 108 of 1996)

Commencement

Under section 243 of the Constitution of the Republic of South Africa, 1996 (Act No. 108 of 1996) (hereafter referred to as the Constitution), I hereby set—

(a)

4 February 1997 as the date on which the Constitution, but excluding section 160 (1) (b), comes into effect; and

(b)

30 June 1997 as the date on which section 160 (1) (b) of the Constitution comes into effect.

Given under my Hand and the Seal of the Republic of South Africa at Pretoria this Twenty-second day of January, One thousand Nine hundred and Ninety-seven.
