Prepositions after Verbs.

598. We give here a few verbs which require a preposition after them in Irish, although they require none in English:—

Géillim do,		I obey.
Uṁluiġim do,		„
Cuidiġim le,		I assist.
Innsim do, Deirim le,	$\scriptstyle {\left.{\begin{matrix}\ \\\\\ \ \end{matrix}}\right\}\,}$	I tell.
Tugaim ar		I persuade, prevail over.
Tugaim fá,		I endeavour.
Iarraim ar,		I ask (beseech).
Fiafruiġim de,		I ask (enquire).
Geallaim do,		I promise.
Beannuiġim do,		I salute.
