(From Lepsius's "Uenkmaler.") ■-r EE piKuiSir of Amenemhe, one of the kings of this dynasty, has been found on its walls, showing that the fashion of erecting sepulchral pyramids had not then quite gone out, though its accompaniments were of a nature previously unknown. In the Labyrinth itself a num- ber of small cliambers were found, two stories in heiglit, as the account of Herodotus leads us to expect, but 80 small, being only four feet in width at most, that we cannot understand the admiration they excited in his mind.
