Malagrowther, Malachi. Sir Wal- ter Scott.

In 1826, Sir Walter Scott -wrote " Three Let- ters hy Malachi Malagiowther," first published in "Edinburgh Weekly Journal," and subse- quently in a pamphlet by Blackwood. These weie on paper money, etc. In 1830, when the Reform Ministry came in, Scott wrote a fourth " Letter of Malachi Malagiowther."
