Camp no. 63, Coll. no. xxiv. 30th May, 1893. 2. Lake Losuguta (water with sulphides). Camp no. 51, Coll. no. XXV. 16th May, 1893. 3. Lake Baringo (mud with diatoms). Coll. no. xxx. May, 1893. 4. G. Laschan, Leikipia. Camp no. 71, Coll. no. xxxviii. June 13th, 1893. 5. Mwangadan River, S. of Fuladoga. The last one consisted of a mass of dried algae in paper, and on soaking out yielded many species. Of the other four, which were in tubes, no. 4 was the only one which was not thoroughly dry, the corks of the others being almost entirely demolished by beetles. From no. 5 several zygospores of a desmid were seen (diam. c. spin. 43 [x), but, as no semicells were attached to them, these could not be determined. (Edogoniace^. 1. (Edogonium sp.
