Julie

I can't tell you so quick. Why don't you drink your coffee?


Liliom

Is that what you wanted to tell me?


Julie

No. By the time you've drunk your coffee I'll have told you.


Liliom

[Gets the coffee and sips it.] Well?


Julie

Yesterday my head ached—and you asked me——


Liliom

Yes——

Well—you see—that's what it is——
