Annas. Takyth hym to ȝow and betyth hym som del, ffor hese blasfemyng at this sel.

Here thei xal bete Jhesus about the hed and the body, and spyttyn in his face, and pullyn hym down, and settyn hym on a stol, and castyn a cloth ovyr his face; and the fyrst xal seyn,

Primus Judæus. A! felawys, beware what ȝe do to this man, ffor he prophecye weyl kan. Secundus Judæus. That xal be asayd be this batte, What thou, Jhesus? ho ȝaff the that?

Et percuciet super caput.

Tertius Judæus. Whar? whar? now wole I
Wetyn how he can prophecy.
