Prouided alwayes that this ade not any thinge therein conteyned, shal not extende bee construed to make good any purchaſe, graunt, leaſe, charge, or profite, of, in, or out of, any lande , tenementes, of heredi- tamentes heretore made bolde, defeated, or undone , by reaſon of anye former con= veyance, graunt ,or aſſuraunce, ſo as the partie o parties, or their heires or aſſignes, whych have ſo defeated or made voide the ſame, were in actuall poſſeſſion the fyrſt Day of thys present Parliament, of, or in the ſayd landes , tenemnentes, or heredita- anentes, whereof, or out of which any ſuch purchaſe , graunt, leaſe, charge, or profite was made.

Provided that this act, nor any thynge therein conteined , ſhall extende in any ſort to reſtraine or impaire the iuriſdiction, power, or aut- thoritie of the Court of Starre cham- ber.
