DEFEND, we beseech Thee, O Lord, by the intercession of the Blessed Mary ever Virgin, this Thy family from all adversity; and as, with our whole hearts, we lie prostrate before Thee, defend us from the snares of our enemies: through Jesus Christ, our Lord.
