I endeavoured to wrench my arm from her grasp, but the attempt was useless, for she quickly secured the other, then dragged me a little distance to a seat near the wall, then left me without uttering a word. Of course I was in a rage, and do not remember what I said—probably, however, something that she could not appreciate, for I did not meet her again.
