The women of Neuroomia take no part in politics, for they themselves consider that politics are beyond the sphere of women; and as for filling important offices, there were always plenty able men willing to represent the people and make laws. "Have you any societies for advocating 'Women's Rights'?" I asked.
"No!" was the answer. "We have no societies of any kind in Neuroomia, for we have no use for them." She continued, "The women are respected and highly esteemed by the men, and they have as much liberty as they choose; but of course they are always very careful not to abuse that liberty."
