He then went to those that sold bread, aud they spoke of Christ : at which he much wondered, that there should be such a change siner yesterday, when none dust speak of the true God; but lie was now pro- fessed openly. But the coin was so old, that rhe people said, sure this young man liath found some ancient treasure. Upon which they carried lim bn fore the Bishop and Council, where ne declared, that He and six more bid inselves yesterday in a cave, to escape the fury of Decius, and led taken that inoney with thein. The Emperor Theodosius being acquainted therewith, he, with many others, vent and found the other six chearful and hearty, their garments not being worn by age or time. The Em perer herwipon glorified God, embracing and weep. ing over them for joy, saying, I receive you like se many Lazarus' out of your graves. They continued alive some short time after, and then dieel; and were buried in great pomp and state by the Emperor. It appeared they had slept two bundred and cight years.
