sold yesterday by Harry Payne Whitney,
and it was announced that the new
owner would utilize the corner for busi-
ness. The entire property, according to
Worthington Whitehouse, who represent-
ed Mr. Whitney in the sale, was held at
$2,250,000, but it is understood that the
price paid was under that figure. Frank
D. Veiller, who represented the buyer,
declined to give the name, only saying
that he was an investor.
