1949	In March, Ho denounced the charge of "Communist domination" of DRV as pure French imperialist propaganda. In interview by Franc-Tireur, Ho stated his ideology was "real unity and independence of our country." (Bao Dai established puppet government in July.) (Nationalist China falls to Mao Tse-tung; Chinese troops arrive on Sino-Tonkin border.)
1950	Ho appeals for international recognition of DRV. (Russia and China recognize DRV.) (On June 25, North Korea attacked South Korea.)
