[Purisiphonia, Bowerbank.

Canaliculated siliceo-fibrous skeletons. Skeletons reticulate, unsymmetrical. Fibres composed of concentric layers of solid silex, with a continuous central canal.

This genus is intermediate in its structure between Dactylosalyx (Stutchbury) and Farrea (Bowerbank). Like the latter, its fibres
