Archbifhopricks, Biftiopricks, and' other Prelacies,. have done great Watte and Deftrudtion. in the fame in Time palt ;' s ' (2) we will and grant for. us arid for our Heirs, That at all Times from henceforth, when fuch Voidances {hall happen, that ourEfchea- tors and the Efcheators of our Heirs, which for the Time ftiall be, fhall .enter, and caufe to 'be well kept the laid Voidances, without doing Wafte or Deftruc- tio.n in the Manors, Warrens, Parks,, Ponds, or Woods ; (3) and that they fell no Under- wood, nor hunt in the Parks or Warrens, nor fall in Ponds, nor free Fiftungs, nor ftiall rack nor take Fines of the Tenants, free nor bond ; but fhall keep and fave as much as pertaineth to the faid Voidances, without doing Harm, or any Manner of Oppreflion. (4.) And if the Dean and Chapter of Churches Cathedral, Priors, Subpriors, Prioreffes, Subprioreffes, and Co- vents of Prelacies, Abbies, or Priories, whole Void- ance pertaineth to us and our Heirs, will render to us and our Heirs the Value of the faid Voidance, as Other will reafonahly yield, then the Chancellor and Tr.eafurer ftiall have Power to let the faid Dean and Tlie Dean 3ni Chapter, Prior or Subprior, Priorefs or Subpriorefs, CI J. ;lpt u r m * y and Covent, the faid Voidances by good and fufficient ^ ST e m jfthey Surety, fo that they fhall have the fame before all will.' other, yielding to us the Value of them, according as fhall be found by Remembrances of the Exchequer, or by Inqueft to be taken upon the fame, if need be, without making Fine. (5) And in cafe they will not accord to yield to the Value, nor find fuch Surety, then the Chancellor and Treafurer fhall caufe to be ordained the good Prefervation of fuch Voidances by Efcheators, or other fufticient Keepers, to anfwer the King of that to him pertaineth reafonably, with- out doing Wafte or Deftruction, or other Thing- which may turn in Difherifon of the Churches where- of fuch Voidances ftiall happen.' Don' a Weftm' le xvi jour I TEM, Wholly to {hew the AfFeoTion and good JL Will which he have, that that pertaineth to God and holy Church be fafely kept without Wafte or Deftruftion, or Impeachment to be made thereof by us or our Minifters, (z) we' will, and by thefe pre- fent Letters dp grant full Power to our faid Chancel- lor and Treafurer, which taking to them other of our Council, fuch as to them fhall leerri beft to be taken, by good Information of Remembrances of the Ex-* chequer, and other Informations, as to them ftiall fe em beft, ftiall let the Vacations of Archbifnopricks, Bifhopricks, Abbacies, Priories, and other Houfes, whofe Voidances pertaineth unto us, to the Dean and Chapter, Prior or Subprior, Priorefs or Sub- priorefs, and Covent, to yield a certain of every Voidance by the Year, Quarter, or Mont, during the Vacations, according as to them ftiall feim beft, without making any Fine ; (3) fo'tliat no Lfcheator nor other Minifter, in the Time of Vacations fhall have Caufe to enter, or meddle to do any thing which ftiall be in Prejudice of the Churches whereof fuch Voidances fhall happen ; (4) faving to us and to our Heirs the Knights Fees, Advowfons of Churches, Efcheats, Wards, Mairiagcs, Reliefs, and Services of the faid Fees.
