  1. An Act concerning the Duke of Richmond.

  4. An Act concerning the Town of Southampton.
  5. An Act of Exchange between the King and the Heirs of the Lord Marquess of Montagu, and others.
  6. An Act concerning certain Annuities out of the Bishoprick of Winchester.
  7. An Act concerning the Assrance of the Jointure of the Lady Dorothy Countess of Derby.

PUBLICK ACTS.

Anno 23 Henrici 8.

  1. An Act that no Person convicted of Petit Treason, Murther, or Felony, shall he admitted to his Clergy, under a Subdeacon.
  2. For the making of Gaols within this Realm.
  3. Against Perjury, and untrue Verdicts.
  4. No Brewers shall make their Barrels, Kilderkins, or Firkins; and how much the same Barrels, Kilderkins, and Firkins shall contain.
  5. Concerning Commissions of Sewers.
  6. Concerning Recognizances to be taken by the Two Chief Juftices, and the Recorder of London.
  7. An Act that the Statute made for the Maintenance of the Navy of this Realm shall stand in full Strength; and how Gascoign and French Wines shall be brought in, and the same and other Wines sold.
  8. Concerning the amending and Maintenance of the Havens and Ports of Plymouth, Dartmouth, Teignmouth, Falmouth, and Fawey, in the Counties of Devonshire and Cornwall.
  9. An Act that no Person shall be cited out of the Diocese where he or she dwelleth, except in certain Cases.
  10. An Act against Feoffments and Assurance of Lands and Tenements made to the Use of any Parish Church. Chapel, or such like.
  11. An Act concerning breaking Prison by Clerks convict.
  12. An Act for Exactions of Tolls by the Severn Side.
  13. An Act for Trial of Murthers in Cities and Towns.
  14. Process of Outlawry to lie in Actions on the Statute of Anno 5 R. 2. and in Covenant and Annuity.
  15. An Act that the Defendant shall recover Costs against the Plaintiff, if the Plaintiff be nonsuited, or if the Verdict pass against him.
  16. No Englishman shall sell, exchange, or deliver, to be conveyed into Scotland, any Horse, Gelding, or Mare, without the King's Licence.
  17. An Act concerning the true winding of Woolls.
  18. An Act concerning pulling down Fishgarths, Piles, Stakes, Hecks, and other Engines set in the Rivers of Owse and Humber.

  7. An Act to continue a former Act made against killing of Calves.
  8. An Act that the Defendant shall not recover Costs against the Plaintiff in any Action commenced or prosecuted to the King's Use.
  9. An Act against killing of young Beasts called Weanlings.
  10. An Act for the destroying of Crows and Rooks.
  11. An Act for paving the Highway between Strond-Cross and Charing-Cross.
  12. An Act that Appeals to the See of Rome shall not from henceforth be had nor ued, but within this Realme.
