That this Aft, or any Claiife therein contained, fnali not be ronflrucd to charge with any Duty, any Warrant made by, or Recognizance taken before, any JulT-ice or Jiifticc;; of the Peace, or any Surrender of any Copyhold Jiltate, or Copies of fuch Kflrate, or any Procccding-j of any Court Mar- tial, which relate to any Trial of any common Soldier; or any Orders, I^ecrees or Proceedings before any Coinniiffioners of Sewers, or in the Court of Stannaries ; but fuch Warrants, Recognizances, Surren- ders, Copies, Orders, Decrees and Proceeding's, {hall and are hereby declared to be exempted from the Payment of any of the Duties before mentioned in this A<fl:. XLVI. Provided alfo, and it is hereby enadfcd and declared by the Authority aforefaid. Head Office for the faid Duties, to be ftamped and marked with two Marks or Impreffions (that is to fay) ed with two Every fuch Skin, Sheet, or Piece of Vellum, Parchment, and Paper, having one M^ark or Stamp fet there- Marks. upon, purfuant to the faid former Afts, or any of them, before the writing or ingroffing any of the Mat- ^f'",!™' *? ters or Things as aforefaid thereupon, fhall be brought to the faid Office, to be ftamped with a Second brLmped'^with Mark or Impreffion of the fame Kind ; and every Skin, Sheet or Piece of Vellum, Parchment, or Paper, a Second Mark, having not been ftamped or marked with a fingle Stamp or Mark, purfuant to the faid former Afts, or any of them, fliall, before the writing or ingroffing any of the Matters or Things as aforefaid thereupon, till the faid firft Day of Augiift one thoufand feven hundred and fix, be brought to the faid Office, to receive tvi'o feveral Marks or Impreffions of the fame Kind ; of all which double Marks or Impreffions the one fhall denote the Duty by the faid former Afts, or fome of them, and the other the Duty by this prefent Aft Except fuch as thereupon : Except fuch Skins, Sheets, or Pieces of Vellum, Parchment, and Paper, which do ftill re- "e 'jaWe only main liable only to the fingle Duties on the faid former Afts, during the Terms thereby granted, and are y"^^'"^ '^ "^^' to have only a fingle Mark or Stamp, according to the Direftions of the faid form.er Afts, namely, L. Every Skin or Piece of Vellum, Parchment, or Sheet of Paper, upon which any Cjeneral Circuit or Circuit or New- Nei'jgcte Pardon fhall be ingrofled or written, liable only to the fingle Duty of forty Shillings by the faid gate Pardon, former Afts. LI. Every Skin or Piece of Vellijm, or Parchment, or Sheet, or Piece of Paper, upon which any Re- Certificate of gifter, Entry, Teftimonial, or Certificate of any Degree, taken in either of the tv/o Univerfities, or four JJ'^sree m the Inns of Court, fhall be ingrofl^ed or written (the Regifter or Entry of the Degree of any Batchelor of Arts Except Bauhe- being always excepted) for which Skins, Pieces, or Sheets refpeftively, a Duty of forty Shillings is pay- lor of Arts, able by the faid former Afts only, during the Continuance thereof. LII.
