And be it further enacted by the Authority aforefaid, That after paying or referving fufficient to Sum of 54,600 l-p a y and fatisfy, from Time to Time, fo much as at any Time or Times is or fhall be grown due for or for^erpetuaf "' 1 ^ ^ 1 the *" a '^ former yearly Sums, and for and upon the faid Annuities or Sums of eighty-eight thoufand Annuities of el. feven hundred fifty-one Pounds feven Shillings and ten Pence Kalf-penny, one hundred thoufand Pounds, ■ ■per Cent. and feventy-fix thoufand eight hundred and thirty Pounds fifteen Shillings per Annum, and the faid other Annuity or Annuities, after the Rate of five Pounds per Centum per Annum, and to anfwer fuch Demands as fhali be made of or for the faid Intereft, at the refpective Rates aforefaid, and fo much as at any Time or Times is or fhall be grown due for and upon the faid Sum of one hundred and twenty thoufand Pounds per Annum; then the faid Sum of fifty- four thoufand fix hundred Pounds per Annum, and all Arrears thereof (if any be) {hall, without any Deduction or Abatement, be feparated and fet apart in the faid Receipt of the Exchequer, out of the Monies by this Act appropriated or mentioned to be appro- priated as aforefaid, for the Ufes and Purpofes in this Act appointed; and mall, from Time to Time, be iffued and applied to anfwer and fatisfy fuch perpetual Annuities as are purchafed thereupon, at the Rate of five Pounds per Centum per Annum, according to the true Intent and Meaning of fuch Act or Acts of Parliament as are palled in that Behalf, fubject neverthelefs to F.edemption by Parliament, 3s is thereby prefcribed. The Preferences XXII. And it is hereby declared to be the true Intent and Meaning of this Act, That the Arrearages of in point of Pay- t ne faid former yearly Sums, and the Monies which fhall, from Time to Time, be due upon the faid an- nual Sums of eighty-eight thoufand feven hundred fifty-one Pounds feven Shillings and ten Pence Half- penny, one hundred thoufand Pounds, and feventy-fix thoufand eight hundred and thirty Pounds fifteen Shillings per Annum, and the faid other Annuity or Annuities, after the Rate of five Pounds per Centum per Annum, and the Monies neceffary to anfwer fuch Demands of Intereft as aforefaid, fhall from Time to Time take place and be preferred, in point of Payment, before the Sums which, fhall grow due upon the faid yearly Sum of one hundred and twenty thoufand Pounds; and that the faid yearly Sum of one hun- dred and twenty thoufand Pounds fhall from Time to Time take place and be preferred, in point of Pay- ment, out of the fame, before the faid yearly Sum of fifty-four thoufand fix hundred Pounds; and that the faid yearly Sum of fifty-four thoufand fix hundred Pounds fhall, from Time to Time, take place and be preferred, in point of Payment, before the applying any of the faid appropriated Monies for or towards anfwering any the Payments hereafter in and by this Act charged or chargeable thereupon. The Surplus of XXIV. And it is hereby declared and enacted by the Authority aforefaid, That the Excefs or Surplus, -every Quarter w hich at the End of every or any Quarter of a Year (reckoning the Quarters to end at the ufual Feafts • difpofeabie by above-mentioned) fhall and may be produced by the faid feveral Rates, Duties, Revenues and Incomes See c Ged.'i. hereby appropriated or mentioned to.be appropriated as aforefaid, and fhall remain in the Exchequer over ,.c. 3. fee j. and above the Money then due or demandable for or upon the feveral Annuities - , Allowances and other Payments before-mentioned, or any Arrears of the fame, fhall attend the Difpofition of Parliament, and be applied according to Act or Acts of Parliament in that Behalf, and not Otherwile; any Thing in .this Act contained to the contrary notwithftanding. xxy. •
