D. i^i^' faid Monies, as are ptefcrfbed and to b* infixed by virtue of an Aft of Parliament made and paffed in the 9& 10W.3. ninth Year of the Reign of his late Majefty King William the Third, intituled, An Ait for raifing a Siwij c ' ■**• not exceeding two mi I. ions upon a Fund for Payment of Annuities after th: Rate of eight Pounds per Centum per Annum, and for fettling the Trade to the E'aft-Iiidies, for the like Offence or Negleft relating to the Duties on Salt, and upon ftampt Vellum, Parchment and Paper thereby granted or referred unto, or for detain- ing, diverting or mifapplying any P?.rt of the Mdnics which were granted or appropriated by the Aft laft. mentioned. 13000 1. tTio XXIV. And be it enacted by the Authority aforefaid, That yearly and every Year, reckoning the firft yearly Fund. Year to begin the five and twentieth Day of March one thoufand feven hundred and twenty, the full Sum of thirteen thoufand Pounds per Annum, by or out of the Monies to arife of or for the faid Duties upon Plate or Manufactures of Silver, and to be brought into the Receipt of Exchequer, as aforefaid, in cafe the fame fhall extend thereunto, fliall be the whole and entire yearly Fund ; and in cafe all the Monies a'rifirig into the Exchequer of or for the faid Rates and Duties upon Plate and Manufactures of Silver, (hall not amount to thirteen thoufand Pounds per Annum, then the Monies fo arifmg, fo far as the fame will extend, fliall be Part of the yearly Fund, for or towards anfwering or paying all the feveral and refpeftive Rencjency to be Annuities herein after mentioned ; and in cafe the faid Rates and Duties upon Plate and Manufactures of "t^hcs'mk 011 ' Silver fhall at any Time or Times appear to be fo deficient or low in the Produce of the fame, as that fund, '&c. ' ° within any one Year to be reckoned as aforefaid, the faid Monies arifmg into the Exchequer for or upon Account of the fame Rates and Duties fhall not amount to fo much as thirteen thoufand Pounds, or to fo much as fhall be fufficient to difcharge and fatisfy all the Annuities by this Aft appointed or intended to be paid within or for the fame Year reflectively ; that then and fo often, and in every fuch Cafe, fo much as fhall be deficient or wanting to make up the faid Fund for every or any fuch Year, until the Redemption thereof by Parliament, according to the Pfovifo herein after contained in that Behalf, fhall be fupplied and made good from Time to Time, out of the Monies which fhall from Time to Time, arife by certain Surpluffesi Exceffes, and overplus Monies, commonly called the Sinking Fund, fo as the Sums which, from Time to Time, or at any Time {hall be fupplied out of the faid Sinking Fund, do not exceed the Monies which fhall be faved by taking off the Drawback of the Duties on Hops exported, or fhipped, to be B? out of the exported for Ireland^ purfuant to the Claufes herein after contained in that Behalf ; and if the fame fhall at next Aids in any Time exceed fuch Saving, then the Refidue of fuch Deficiency fhall be fupplied out of the then next 1 a.- lament. ^jj s tQ ^ e g rantec j ; n Parliament ; any Thing in any former or other Law or Statute contained to the con- trary notwithftanding. The Monies XXV. And it is hereby enacted, That all the Monies arifmg by the faid Duties on Plate and Manu- Dut"' to'te h en-^ a( ^ :ures °^ Silver, f° r Payment of the feveral Annuities, which fhall be payable upon this Act, fhall be tredin a Book, fairly and duly entred in one or more Book or Books, to be kept in the Offices of the Auditor of the Re- ceipt and Clerk of the Pells for that Purpofe, to which all Perfons concerned, at all feafonable Times, fliall have free Accefs without Fee or Charge. AnvPefons XXVI. And for the raifing any Sum or Sums of Money, not exceeding in the whole the Sum of three Wors^t'n"" nunc ' rea ar, d twelve thoufand Pounds, towards his Majefty's Supply ; It is hereby further enacted by the Annuities or Authority aforefaid. That it fhall and may be lawful to and for any Pcrfon or PerfonSj Natives or Fo- 31-2000!. at4l.reigners, Bodies Politick or Corporate, to contribute, advance and pay into the Receipt of his Majefty's per Gent. Exchequer, for his Majefty's Ufe, at or before the refpeftive Days and Times in this Aft limited in that Behalf, any Sum or Sums of Moneys not exceeding in the whole the faid Sum of three hundred and twelve thouland i ounds, for the abfo'.ute Purchafe of any certain Annuity or Annuities, to commence from the five and twentieth Day of March one thoufand feven hundred and twenty, and to be paid and payable to fuch Contributor or Contributors, or fuch as he, fhe or they fliall nominate, his, her or their Executors, Adminiftrators, Succeffors and Affigns refpeftively, until the Redemption thereof by Parliament, according to the Provifo herein after contained in that Behalf, which certain Annuities fhall be computed at the Rate of four Pounds per Annum for every one hundred Pounds, and proportionably for any greater Sum fo to be advanced and paid ; and the Purchafe-money fo paid for every fuch Annuity at the Rate aforefaid, is hereby appointed to be paid into the faid Receipt of Exchequer at or before the refpeftive Days and Times Times of Pay- herein after limited ; that is to fay, One fourth Part thereof on or before the four and twentieth Day of mcnt - June in the Year of our Lord one thoufand feven hundred and twenty ; one other fourth Part thereof on or before the firft Day of Augitjl in the Year of our Lord one thoufand feven hundred and twenty ; one other fourth Part thereof on or before the firft Day of Oclober in the Year of our Lord one thoufand feven hundred and twenty ; and the remaining fourth Part thereof on or before the firft Day of December in the Year of our Lord one thoufand feven hundred and twenty ; all which Annuities fo to be purchafed, fhall be paid and payable at two of the moft ufual Feafts or Days of Payment in the Year; that is to fay, The Feaft of St. Michael the Archangel, and the Annunciation o{ the Blefl'ed Virgin Mary, by even and equal Portions ; the firft Payment thereof to be due at the Feaft of iSV. Michael the Archangel in the Year of our Lord one thoufand feven hundred and twenty. Books to he XXVII. And it is hereby enacted, That in the Offices of the Auditor of the Receipt, and the Clerk of p:ovidcdfor the Pells in the Exchequer, feverally, there fhall be provided and kept a Book or Books, in which there entTingtbe {yx be fairly entred the Names of all who fhall be Contributors for fuch certain Annuities, as aforefaid, Names "and an ^ °f a ll Perfons by whofe Hands the faid Contributors fhall pay in any of the faid Sums upon this Aft, the Sums. and alfo the Sums fo paid for fuch Annuities, to which Book it fliall be lawful for the faid refpeftive Con- tributors,
