C. 20. 391 Virgin Mary one thoufand feven hundred and twenty-two, the Money by this Afl fo apr)ointe<! to dif- hargcthe (aid Exchequer Bills which were created to be lent as aforefaid, (hall not be fufficient for that 'urpofe, then fo much of the Money afterwards to arife into the Exchequer, of or for the f:<d Sur- dities, Exceffes and Overpluses, called the finking Fund, as (together with the faid Monies which (hall mvc been applied, purfuant to this Ac"t, towards difcharging the fame Bills) fhall be fufficient to dif- harge and cancel the fame, i"hall and maybe applied to complcat and finifh the paying off, difcharg- ng and cancelling the fame Exchequer Bills ; any former or other Law or Statute to the contrai y not- vfthftanding. II. Time being, as foon as conveniently may be, fhall by publick Notice in Writing to be affixed upon the 1 Exchange in London, and publifh'd in the London Gazette, prefix a certain Day, by or before which ill fuch of the faid Bills, which were lent to the faid Company as aforefaid, (not being in the Exchequer) 'hall he brought in and delivered to fuch Pcrfon or Perfons as the faid Commiffioners of the Treafury, or any three of them, or the High Treafurer for the Time being, fhall appoint to receive the fame at or near the faid Exchequer, to be paid off, difcharged and cancelled accordingly; and that all fuch of the faid Bills for the laid Sum of one million, which was lent as aforefaid, as (hall not be brought in upon fuch iNotice to be paid off, difcharged and cancelled as aforefaid, within the Time or Times therein to be fig.- nified, mall lofe their Currency, and no Intereft fhall grow due thereupon, after the faid Feaft of the An- nunciation of the bleffed Virgin Mary one thoufand feven hundred and twenty-two. III.
