C. 9. 655 is to fay, five hundred thoufand Pounds, part thereof, for or towards paying oft" and difcharging Seamcns Wages, and the Refidue thereof for or towards defraying the Char, e or the Ordinary of h i Na- vy, and for Half-pay to Sea-Officers, and for and towards Victual, Wages, Wear and Teat i I and the Victualling thereof, performed and to be performed, and for or towards Sea-Services in Of Ordnance performed and to be performed, and for or towards other Services of the Navy performed and to be performed. IX. Provided always, and be it enacted by the Authority aforcfaid, That for the further Encouragement ro.oool. fit of Seamen to enter Voluntarily into his Majefty's Service, it (hall and may be lawful for h 'der and direct any Sum or Sums of Money, not exceeding in the whole the Sum of ten thoufand round,. Part of the faid Sum of one million four hundred eighty -five thoufand five hundred fixty-one Pounds I teen Shillings and nine Pence, to be iflued and applied in Aid of the Fund already appointed for the I port of the Royal Hofpital at Greenwich, for the better Maintenance of the Seamen of the faid Hofp worn out and become decrepit in the Service of their Country, and for enabling the Commifiiofters of the (aid Hofpital to defray the Expence of taking in and maintaining an additional Number of two hundred and twenty fuch difabled Seamen, and other Expences of the faid Hofpital for the Year one thoufand feven hundred and twenty-eight. X.
