Stat. 1, Britain, any Sum or Sums of Money not exceeding the Sum of one hundred and fifteen thoufand Pounds, <■ '• in fuch Manner, and for fuch Ufes and Purpofes, as his Majefty fhall from Time to Time be pleafed to direct and appoint. XIII. Provided always, and be it enacted by the Authority aforefaid, That in cafe there fhall be {landing Provifo, out, or in Arrear, at the Demife of his Majefty (whom God long preferve) any Sum or Sums of Money for or on Account of the faid Duties and Revenues, which together with what hath been or fhall be received out of the fame during his Majefty's Life, and together with the faid Sum of one hundred and fifteen thou- fand Pounds, fhall be more than fufficient to compleat and fatisfy to his Majefty, during his Life, the yearly Sum of eight hundred thoufand Pounds per Annum, in clear Money, to be computed from the twenty-fifth Day of June one thoufand feven hundred and twenty-feven ; then and in fuch Cafe the faid Sum of one hundred and fifteen thoufand Pounds fhall be replaced' and refunded by or out of fuch Sum or Sums of Mo- ney fo (landing out or in Arrear as aforefaid, as fhall be more than fufficient to compleat the faid yearly Sum of eight hundred thoufand Pounds in clear Money to be computed as aforefaid, or fo much thereof as the Monies arifing thereby fhall extend to fatisfy the fame ; and that the Monies fo to be replaced or refunded, fhall be feparated and kept apart in his Majefty's Exchequer, for the Ufe and Eenefit of the Pub- lick, and fhall not be ifTued or applied to any other Ufe or Ufes, than fuch as fhall be directed by Autho- rity of Parliament. XIV. And be it enacted, That the faid Aids or Supplies provided as aforefaid, fhall not be ifTued or ap- NottoBe ?; plied to any Ufe, Intent or Purpofe whatfoever, other than the Ufes and Purpofes before mentioned^ or t03a i otherVfe. for the feveral Deficiencies or other Payments directed to be fatisfied thereout, by any particular Claufe or Claxifes for that Purpofe contained in any other Act or Acts of this prefent Seflion of Parliament. XV. And as to the faid Sum of fifty-feven thoufand Pounds by this Act appropriated on Account. of r u i<. s t0 be oh- Half-pay as aforefaid, It is hereby enacted and declared by the Authority aforefaid, That the Rules herein ferved in a r U after prefcribed, fhall be duly obferved in the Application thereof; that is to fay, That no Perfon fhall cation cf the have or receive any Part of the fame, who was a Minor, and under the Age of fixteen Years, at the Time Ha "-P a , v - when the Regiment, Troop or Company in which he ferved was reduced ; that no Perfon fhall have or re- ceive any Part of the fame, except fuch Perfons who did actual Service in fome Regiment, Troop or Com- pany ; that no Perfon having any other Place or Erbployment of Profit, Civil or Military, under his Ma- jefty, fhall have or receive 2ny Part of the Half-pay ; that no Chaplain of any Garrifon or Regiment, who has any Ecclefiaftical Benefice in Great Britain or Ireland, fhall have or receive any of the faid Halt- pay ; that no Perfon fhall have or receive any Part of the fame who hath refigned his Commiffion, and has had no Commiffion fince ; that no Part of the fame fhall be allowed to any Perfon by Virtue of any War- rant or Appointment, except to fuch Perfons who would have been otherwife entitled to the fame as reduced Officers ; and that no Part of the fame fhall be allowed to any of the Officers of the five Regiments of Dra- goons, and eight P^egiments of Foot, lately difbanded in Ireland, except to fuch as were lately taken, oh: the Eftablifhment of Half- pay in Great Britain. ' XVI.
