Lightermen duly qualified, as in and by the laid Act paffed in the eleventh and twelfth Years of the Reign 1 1 & 12 W, 3. of "his late Majefty King William the Third, intituled An Ail for the Explanation and better Execution of car, former Ads made touching Watermen and Wherrymen rowing on the River of Thames, and for the better or- dering and governing the J aid Watermen, Wherrymen and Lightermen upon the faid River, between Gravefend and Windfor, is directed or appointed, to row and work in their refpective Lighters, or large Craft, and to do and a6t any Thing, as heretofore they might lav/fully do, from fuch their refpective Keys and Wharfs to any Ships or Veffels as aforefaid ; any Thing in this prefent Act contained to the contrary thereof in any wife notwithftanding. Penalties and IX. And be it enacted by the Authority aforefaid, That all the Penalties and Forfeitures, which fliall be totefued for™ nicurred or forfeited by Virtue of this Act, fhall and may be fued and profecuted for by the Rulers and Over- feers of the faid Company, or any two of them for the Time being, in fuch Manner as is provided for and directed by the faid Act paffed in the eleventh and twelfth Years of the Reign of King William the Third, intituled, An Ad for the Explanation and better Execution of former Acls made touching Watermen and Wherry- men rowing on the River of Thames, and for the better ordering and governing the faid. Watermen, Wherrymen and Lightermen upon the faid River between Gravefend and Windfor, and when the faid Penalties and For- feitures fhall be recovered or levied, the fame (hall be paid to the faid Rulers and Overfeers of the faid Com- pany, or the major Part of them for the Time being, and fhall be by them paid and diftributed to and for the Ufe of the Poor of the faid Company, in fuch Manner as the faid Rulers and Overfeers, or the major Part of them for the Time being, fhall think fit ; and all Profecutions for the faid Penalties and Forfei- tures fliall be commenced within one Month next after the Offence (hall be committed.
