And be it further enafled by the Authority aforefaid, That the faid Surveyors, and all other OiH- from the Trea- sury, cers and Perfons v/ho fhall be employed in the Execution of this Act, fhall obferve and follow fuch Orders, Inftrudions and Directions, as they fhall, from time to time, receive from the faid Commiffioners of the' Treafury, or any three or more of them now being, or the High Treafurer, or any three or more of the Commiffioners of the Treafury for the time being, for the better Execution of the Powers and Authorities by this Adl granted. Provided alfo, and it is hereby enabled by the Authority aforefaid, That out of the Monies, l>oint Salaries, from time to time arifen or to arife of or for the faid Rates and Duties on Houfes, Windows or Lights, it (hall and may be lawful to and for the faid Commiffioners of the Treafury, or any three or more of them now being, or the High Treafurer, or any three or more of the Commiffioners of the Treafury for the time being, to fettle and appoint fuch Salaries and Allowances for the Service, Pains and Labour of the Sur- veyors and other Officers to be employed in the Execution of this Aft, and otherwife in relation thereto; and alfo to difcharge fuch incident Charges and Expences as fhall neceflarily attend the Execution of this A£t, as the faid Comrniffioners of the Treafury, or any three or more of them, or the High Treafurer for the time being, fliall think fit and reafonable in that Behalf. fo^b kt^"*^ XLIV. And be it further enaded by the Authority aforefaid. That there fhall be provided and kept in e cept. j.y|g Office of the Auditor of the Receipt of Exchequer at Weftminjhr, a Book or Books, in which all the Monies, hereby appointed to be paid into the faid Receipts as aforefaid, fhall be entered feparate and apart from all other Monies paid or payable to his Majefty, his Heirs or Succeflbrs, upon any Account wha:fo- ever; and the faid Monies, fo appointed to be paid into the faid Receipt of Exchequer as aforefaid, fhall be the yearly Fund for the feveral Purpofes herein after mentioned. Appropriation of XLV. And be it further enaiSted by the Authority aforefaid. That all and every the Annuities, which by »his Fund. this Aft fhall be granted and made payable, in refpeft of the Principal Sum of four iriillions, to be raifed in fuch Manner and Form as is herein after direfted, as alfo of the additional Capital of ten PouikIs, herein after direfted to be added to every one hundred Pounds, advanced towards raifing the fliid Sum of four Mil- lions, until Redemption thereof by Parliament, fhall be charged, and chargeable upon, and payable out of the feveral Rates and Duties by this Aft granted to his Majefly ; and the faid feveral Rates and Duties fhall be and are hereby appropriated for that Purpofe accordingly. Subfcrihersal- ' XLVI. And whereas feveral Perfons, Natives or Foreigners, Bodies Politick or Corporate, have fub- Cenf lincrft ' ^'^■^'^^ ^"'i agreed to advance the faid Sum of four millions for the Publick Service, for the Purchafe of , t Annuities after the Rate of four Pounds per Centum per Amium ; and the faid Subfcribers or Contributors ' have, in purfuance of a Refolution of the Commons oi Great Britain in Parliament aflembled, depofited ' with the firft or chief Cafhier or Cafliiers of the Governor and Company of the Bank oi England (or the ' Time being, the Sum of ten Pounds per Centum in Part of the Principal Sums by them refpeftively fub- ' fcribed as aforefaid, and are defirous to pay the remaining Principal Sums by them fubfcribed, towards ' raifing the faid Sum of four millions, at fuch Times, and in fuch Manner as fhall be appointed in that ' Behalf;' Be it therefore enafted by the Authority aforefaid.
