And, to the feveral Clerks of the Subdivilion Meetiiigs, at the Rate of one Pound one Shil- to the Clerks of the ling for each Meeting. Subdivifion Meetings. All which faid Sums of Money, except Aich as fhall be due to the feveral Clerks of the Meetings The Money to be paid aforefaid, fhall be paid by the faid Receiver or Receivers General into the Hands of the Clerk or ;°*J'^^^^'"»'°f * ^»'- Clerks of the Battalion or Battalions of Militia belonging to fuch County, Riding, or Place, upon his or their producing his or their Warrant of Appointment to fuch Office, under the Hand and Seal of his Majefty's Lieutenant for fuch County, Riding, or Place, according to the Number of Perfons hereby intitled to receive Pay, of which fuch Battalion or Battalions fhall have been ap- ^f"hs"f'Ad^in"ce'to* pointed to confift ; and alfo within fourteen Days after the Expiration of the third Month from the bemldewithin^TMomh* Time of the faid firfl Payment, to make a fccond Payment for four Months, in Advance, for the alter. Pay of the Militia, and Clerks of Battalions aforefaid, in the Proportions before mentioned; and Klerk's Receipt^to be a the Receipts of fuch Clerk or Clerks fhall be a fufficient Difcharge to fuch Receiver or Receivers Difcharge for the Sums General, for the feveral Sums of Money fo by him or them paid. ^o p^' VII. And be it enacted, That the Clerk of each Battalion of Militia, fhall forthwith, after the Clerk to pay from time Receipt of fuch Sums of Money as aforefaid, payor caufe to be paid to the Captain or Command- to time, 2 Months Pay to each Perfon belonging to his Company, by this AcS intitled to receive the fame, as it fliall become ^^^ render an Account due ; and fhall give in to the Clerk of the Battalion to which fuch Company fhall belong, an Account thereof to the Clerk, and of the feveral Payments he fhall have made in purfuance of this A£t ; and fhall pay back to the faid pay back the Surplus ! Clerk the Surplus, if any, of the Monies by him from time to time received, and then remaining Monies. in his Hands. VIII. And be it further enaded.
