In the chapters that follow, in only one or two instances has an attempt to argue the case been made. Some of the stories which recent study has made living have been told. Those who read may find in them confirmation of what has here been said. If they do not, it will be the telling of the stories that has failed. The evidence in the lives of the men is indubitable.
