In the Y, K, and X note that the light stroke is set in ½ U at the top. This prevents the letters from appearing top heavy.
In the K, note that the outside line of the heavy slant stroke will, if produced, intersect the right side of the vertical heavy stroke at the top guide line. Draw this line before measuring the thickness of the slant stroke.
To lay off the thickness of the heavy stroke of the X, proceed as in the Z.
