In the Survey made tinder James I. in the conveyance of the manor to Sir Edward Touch, it is charged "with rent of Land enclosed in Park £2. 14s. 1d.," and with a further sum of 20s. for "lands taken into said Park "; and this must have been done before the conveyance to Touch; most probably during the occupation of the Countess of Richmond.
