The allusion in this verse to Vanarājams a Parmir is unmistakable, but it seems doubtful whether Gàjnå refers to Gazniin Afghánistán, or to Khambhåt (the modern Cambay), of which it is an ancient appellation. The allusion to the Bands evidently man the Chávaḍus, who are called by this title in the second verse
