Singampatti, Zamindar of; Sri Thenathuppali Nallakutti Siva Subramania Thevar Theerthapathi Avergal; related to Setupathis of Ramnad; b. at Singampati, 1874; o.s. of Siva Subramania Thevar; married twice; obtained Madras Government-Certificate on the occasion of Diamond Jubilee of Her late Majesty Empress Victoria, 1897; (ibid) on Coronation Day, 1903, for services as Member of District and Taluq Boards, Tinnevelly; President, Ambasamudram High School; maintains a free school at Singampatti for boys; Chairman, Reception Committee of XIV Madras Provincial Conference, 1906. Recreation: Riding. Address: Singampatti, Tinnevelly District, Madras Presidency.

Singrauli, Raja of; Rudra Pratap Singh; b. 1869; succeeded to title, 1886; the estate comprises 116 villages, revenue-free in Mirzapur, and 191 villages in the Rewah State; Honorary Magistrate for the Police circle of Khairwa and Pargana Singruli; has a Malikhana allowance of 10 per cent, on the rent collections of the Dudhi estate, in addition to his income from his proprietary holdings. Sinha, Hon’ble Sachhidananda, Editor, “Hindustani Review”, Allahabad; b. 1871; s. of RamyadSinha, at one time leader of the Arrah Bar; educ: Patna College; went over to England, joined the University College, London, and was called to the Bar, (Middle Temple), 1893; enrolled as Advocate, Calcutta High Court,and settled at Bankipur, 1894; removed to Allahabad, 1896; Editor of the ‘Bihar Times’, the Kayastha Samchar; and Editor and Proprietor of the ‘Hindustan Review’; start ed a weekly journal, “Indian People” (now the ”Leader”, Allahabad), 1904; in the movement of Bihar for Biharis, Mr. Sinha took a prominent part and his pamphlet entitled ‘separation of Behar’ forms a valuable contribution on the subject; staunch social reformer; member. Imperial Legislative Council, 1910-13; a member of the Congress deputation to England and as such toured in London and other important English centres,. 1914. Address: Bankipur and Allahabad. Consulting Physician, London; Member, Students’ Advisory Council, India Office; b. 1858; s. of late Siti Kantha Sinha of Raipur, Birhum, Bengal; educ: Calcutta; University College, London; joined I.M.S., 1886; served in the Burmese Campaign, and Tirah and Chinese Expeditions; also in Bengal as D.M.O. and Deputy Sanitary Commissioner; retired, 1905. Recreations: Tennis and Golf. Address: 16, Grange Road, Ealing W. Club: National Liberal.
