HOW

IN ancient times, when the Lord desired to make His will known He chose an angel, filled him with His spirit and presence, and sent him on the Divine errand. Such a one is called in the Word "the angel of the Lord." When by angels He could no longer well effect His purpose, He chose a prophet, and gave him what He should say, do, and write. When He desired to come on earth in the flesh at the first advent, He chose a woman to provide Him a body of flesh in which He might dwell and reveal His nature. In more recent times, when He desired to break the seals of His Word, He chose a man through whose mind and hand He might make known His new revelation,
