Where the speed limit is higher than 30 mph, the 400 m spacing of signs between junctions should be increased proportionally so that drivers pass a sign approximately every 30 seconds (e.g. 800m spacing at 60 mph). Figures 10-12 and 10-13 show the upright signs.
