CAPITOL POUCE SALARIES
For the Capitol Police Board for salaries, including overtime, and Government contributions to employees' benefits funds, as authorized by law, of officers, members, and employees of the Capitol Police, $52,922,000, of which $25,673,000 is appropriated to the Sergeant at Arms of the House of Representatives, to be disbursed by the Clerk of the House, and $27,249,000 is appropriated to the Sergeant at Arms and Doorkeeper of the Senate, to be disbursed by the Secretary of the Senate, the remainder, to be disbursed by the Architect of the Capitol GENERAL EXPENSES
For the Capitol Police Board for necessary expenses of the Capitol Police, including purchasing and supplying uniforms; the purchase, maintenance, and repair of police motor vehicles, including two-way police radio equipment; contingent expenses, including advance payment for travel for training or other purposes, and expenses associated with the relocation of instructor personnel to and from the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center as approved by the Chairman of the Capitol Police Board, and including $85 per month for extra services performed for the Capitol Police Board by such member of the staff of the Sergeant at Arms of the Senate or the House as may be designated by the Chairman of the Board, $1,887,000, to be disbursed by the Architect of the Capitol: Provided, That the funds used to maintain the petty cash fund referred to as "Petty Cash IT" which is to provide for the prevention and detection of crime shall not exceed $4,000: Provided further, That the funds used to maintain the petty cash fund referred to as "Petty Cash III" which is to provide for the advance of travel expenses attendant to protective assignments shall not exceed $4,000: Provided further. That, notwithstanding any other provision of law, the cost involved in providing basic training for members of the Capitol Police at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center for fiscal year 1989 shall be paid by the Secretary of the Treasury from funds available to the Treasury Department. OFFICIAL MAIL COSTS
For expenses necessary for official mail costs, $53,926,000, to be disbursed by the Clerk of the House, to be available immediately upon enactment of this Act: Provided, That funds appropriated for such purpose for the fiscal year ending September 30, 1988, shall remain available until expended. CAPITOL GUIDE SERVICE
For salaries and expenses of the Capitol Guide Service, $1,220,000, to be disbursed by the Secretary of the Senate: Provided, That none of these funds shall be used to employ more than thirty-three individuals: Provided further. That the Capitol Guide Board is authorized, during emergencies, to employ not more than two additional individuals for not more than one hundred twenty days each,
