104 STAT. 148 PUBLIC LAW 101-279—MAY 1, 1990 Public Law 101-279 101st Congress Joint Resolution May 1, 1990 To authorize the President to proclaim the last Friday of April 1990 as "National [S.J. Res. 258] Arbor Day". Resolved by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled. That the President is hereby authorized and requested to issue a proclamation designating the last Friday of April 1990 as "National Arbor Day" and calling upon the people of the United States to observe such a day with appropriate ceremonies and activities.
