(p) DETAIL OF GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEES.Any Federal Government employee may be detailed to the Commission without reimbursement, and such detail shall be without interruption or loss of civil service status or privilege. (q) PROCUREMENT OF TEMPORARY AND INTERMITTENT SERV- ICES. —The Chairman of the Commission may procure temporary and intermittent services under section 3109(b) of title 5, United States Code, at rates for individuals which do not exceed the daily equivalent of the annual rate of basic pay prescribed for level V of the Executive Schedule under section 5316 of that title. (r) TERMINATION OF THE COMMISSION.— (1) The Commission shall terminate 90 days after the date on which the Commission submits its final report under subsection (i). (2) Any funds held by the Commission on the date of termination of the Commission shall be deposited in the general fund of the Treasury of the United States and credited as miscellaneous receipts. Any property (other than funds) held by the Commission on that date shall be disposed of as excess or surplus property. (s) AUTHORIZATION OF APPROPRIATIONS.— (1) IN GENERAL,—There are authorized to be appropriated to the Commission $2,000,000 for fiscal years 1993 and 1994 to carry out this section. (2) AVAILABILITY,—Any sums appropriated under the authorization contained in this subsection shall remain available, without fiscal year limitation, until expended.
