"12241. Warrant officers: grades; appointment, how made; term. "12242. Warrant officers: promotion. "12243. Warrant officers: suspension of laws for promotions or mandatory retirement or separation during war or emergency.". (2) Sections 597, 598, and 599 are transferred to chapter 1207, as added by paragraph (1), inserted after the table of sections, and redesignated as follows: Redesignated Section section 597 12241 598 12242 599 12243 (3) Chapter 34 is amended to read as follows: "CHAPTER 34—APPOINTMENTS AS RESERVE OFFICERS "Sec.

(e) ACTIVE DUTY.—(1) Part II of subtitle E, as added by subsection (a), is further amended by adding after chapter 1207 (as added by subsection (d)) the following: " CHAPTER 1209—ACTIVE DUTY "Sec.
