And, whereas, the said treaty having been submitted to the Senate of Consent of the United States for their constitutional action thereon, the Senate did, §";g‘;°°• Limb °» on the eighth day of March, eighteen hundred and fifty-nine, advise and ` consent to the ratification of the same, by a resolution in the words and figures following, to wit: “IN Exmcorrvm Smssxou, " SENATE or THE Uurrnn Sums, March 8, 1859. "Res0lved, (two thirds of the senators present concurring,) That the Senate advise and consent to the ratiication of treaty between the United States and Chiefs, Headmen and Delegates of the confederate tribes of the Flathead, Kootenay, and Upper Pend d’Oreilles Indians, who are constituted a nation under the name of the Flathead Nation, signed 16th day of July, 1855. “Attest: “ASBURY DICKINS, Secretary."
