‘ §43 3 a.Al l ow a ncef o rp ar ti cipation in R ea dy Re s er v e screenin g‘ ‘(a) A LL OW AN C EA UTH OR IZ E D .—(1) Under reg u lations pre - scribed by the Secretaries concerned, a member of the Indi v idual R eady Reserve may be paid a stipend for participation in the screening performed pursuant to section 1 0 14 9 of title 10, in lieu of muster duty performed under section 1 2 319 of title 10, if such participation is conducted through electronic means. ‘‘(2) T he stipend paid a member under this section shall con- stitute the sole monetary allowance authori z ed for participation in the screening described in paragraph (1), and shall constitute payment in full to the member for participation in such screening, regardless of the grade or ran k in which the member is serving. ‘‘(b) M A X I M UM P A Y MENT.—The aggregate amount of the stipend paid a member of the Individual Ready Reserve under this section in any calendar year may not e x ceed $5 0. ‘‘(c) PAYMENT RE Q UIREMENT S .—(1) The stipend authorized by this section may not be disbursed in kind. ‘‘(2) Payment of a stipend to a member of the Individual Ready Reserve under this section for participation in screening shall be made on or after the date of participation in such screening, but not later than 30 days after such date. ’ ’. (2) CLERICAL AMENDMENT.—The table of sections at the beginning of chapter 7 of such title is amended by inserting after the item relating to section 433 the following new item: ‘ ‘ 43 3 a.Al l ow a ncef o rp ar ti cipation in R ea dy Re s er v e screenin g . ’ ’. (b) B AR TO D UAL COM P ENSATION.—Section 20 6 of such title is amended by adding at the end the following new subsection: ‘‘(f) A member of the Individual Ready Reserve is not entitled to compensation under this section for participation in screening for which the member is paid a stipend under section 433a of this title.’’. (c) BAR TO RETIREMENT CREDIT.—Section 12732(b) of title 10, United States Code, is amended by adding at the end the following new paragraph: ‘‘( 8 ) Service in the screening performed pursuant to section 10149 of this title through electronic means, regardless of whether or not a stipend is paid the member concerned for such service under section 433a of title 37.’’. SEC.634 . AL L OW A N CE F O R C IV ILIAN CLO TH IN G FOR M EM B ERS OF THE ARME D FORCES TRAVELING IN CONNECTION WITH MEDICAL EVAC U ATION. Section 1047(a) of title 10, United States Code, is amended by inserting ‘‘and luggage’’ after ‘‘civilian clothing’’ both places it appears. SEC. 63 5 . P A Y MENT OF MOVING E X PENSES FOR J UNIOR RESERVE OFFICERS ’ TRAINING CORPS INSTRUCTORS IN HARD - TO- FILL POSITIONS. Section 2031 of title 10, United States Code, is amended by adding at the end the following new subsection: Regulations.
