and ‘‘( 2 ) an assessment of the existing personnel needs for general education teachers who instruct students with disabil- ities, performed by the local educational agency in which most graduates of the teacher preparation program are li k ely to teach after completion of the program under subsection (c)(1). ‘‘(e) PE E RR E VI E W .— T he Secretary shall con v ene a peer review committee to review applications for grants under this section and to make recommendations to the Secretary regarding the selection of grantees. M embers of the peer review committee shall be recog- ni z ed experts in the fields of special education, teacher preparation, and general education and shall not be in a position to benefit financially from any grants awarded under this section. ‘‘(f) E V ALU A T I ONS .— ‘‘(1) BY T H E P ARTNERSHIP.— ‘‘( A ) I N G ENERAL.—An eligible partnership receiving a grant under this section shall conduct an evaluation at the end of the grant period to determine— ‘‘(i) the effectiveness of the general education teachers who completed a program under subsection (c)(1) with respect to instruction of students with disabilities in general education classrooms; and ‘‘(ii) the systemic impact of the activities carried out by such grant on how each institution of higher education that is a member of the partnership prepares teachers for instruction in elementary schools and sec- ondary schools. ‘‘(B) REPORT TO THE SE C RETARY.—Each eligible part- nership performing an evaluation under subparagraph (A) shall report the findings of such evaluation to the Secretary. ‘‘(2) REPORT B Y THE SECRETARY.— N ot later than 1 80 days after the last day of the grant period under this section, the Secretary shall make available to C ongress and the public the findings of the evaluations submitted under paragraph (1), and information on best practices related to effective instruction of students with disabilities in general education classrooms. ‘ ‘ Subpart4—Adj u nc t Te ac h er Co rp s‘ ‘ SEC.25 5. ADJUN C T TEAC H E R C O R P S. ‘‘(a) PURPOSE.—The purpose of this section is to create opportunities for professionals and other individuals with sub j ect matter expertise in mathematics, science, or critical foreign lan- guages to provide such subject matter expertise to secondary school students on an adjunct basis. ‘‘(b) PROGRA M AUTHORI Z E D .—The Secretary is authorized to award grants on a competitive basis to eligible entities to identify, recruit, and train qualified individuals with subject matter expertise in mathematics, science, or critical foreign languages to serve as adjunct content specialists. 20USC1 0 35.Public i nformat ion.
