TheAt t orn e yG ener alis a u thori z e d toa w ard a g rant to a national non p ro f it organization ( su c hasthe N ational D istrict Attor - neys Association ) to conduct a national training progra m for S tate and local prosecutors for the purpose of impro v ing the professional s k ills of State and local prosecutors and enhancing the a b ility of F ederal , State, and local prosecutors to work together . SEC. 2 .CO M PRE H ENSI V E CONTINUING LEGAL EDUCATION. The Attorney General may provide assistance to the grantee under section 1 to carry out the training program described in such section, including comprehensive continuing legal education in the areas of trial practice, substantive legal updates, support staff training, and any other assistance the Attorney General deter- mines to be appropriate. SEC. 3 . AUTHORI Z ATION OF APPROPRIATIONS. There are authorized to be appropriated to the Attorney General to carry out this Act $4 , 750 ,000 for each of the fiscal years 2 00 9 through 2012, to remain available until e x pended.
