August 15, 1g9g_ Re it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary $*4 E·.S¤¤*¤>· of the Interior be, and is hereby, authorized and directed to place °m°°m°ms°d' upon the pension-roll, subject to the rovisions and limitations of the pension laws, the name of Eben Smith, late a private of Company A, of the Eleventh Regiment of Maine Volunteers, and pay him a pension of sixty dollars per month from and after the passage of this act, said pension to be in lieu of that which he is now receiving. Approved, August 15, 1890. CHAP. 794.-An act to increase the pension of Evelyn W. Miles. August 15, 1800. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary Evelyn w. runes. of the Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place P°“"°“ "‘°"°°°°d· on the pension-roll, subject to the provisions and limitations of the pension laws, the name of Evelyn W. Miles and ay her and her minor children the sum of fifty dollars per month, in lieu of the ppnsion now received by them as widow and children of Charles R. iles late lieutenant United States Navy, the same to be during the life of the widow, in lieu of the pension she is now receiving. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States Beg America in Congress assembled, That notwithstand- gw Mugs. ing the roce ings of the general court martial sitting at Pocotalego, ,6mbE ° °°""°°" South (garolina, on January twenty-fourth, eighteen hundred and sixty-five, iinding Peter Moog, late private of Company B, Sixty- eighth Ohio Volunteers, guilty of desertion and sentencing him "to forfeit all pay and allowances now due him and to be placed in such military prison as the Commanding General mayldirect for the term of two years," the Secretary of War is hereby authorized and directed to remove the charge of desertion from the rolls and records of said Moog, on file in his office, except the muster-out roll of his company, and to remove from the muster-out-roll the word " deserter" and immediately after the entry of the facts of the nnding of the general court martial to enter thereon the following words; “Honorably discharged to date July tenth, eighteen hundred and sixty-five, with all bounty, pay and allowances in pursuance of special act of Congress for his relief, approved/’ And the accounting officers of the Treas- To receive payee. ury are hereb authorized and required to audit and adjust the claim of said Peter Moog for all pay, bounty, and allowances to which he would have been entitled on July tenth, eighteen hundred and sixty- five, if he had served continuously and faithfully from July fifteenth, eighteen hundred and sixty-three to July tenth, eighteen hundred and sixt live, and to pay him any amount that may be found due him, deciructing any sum already received by him.
