CHAP. 64.-An actto rovide for hec nstrulf' of Stockton, California. p t 0 ction of a pub c building m the city Jamm-y 1g_ Iggy_ Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary smc1;mn,_cn1. of the Treasury be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to P“b”° b““‘””g*°"°· acquire, by (purchase, condemnation, or otherwise, a site, and cause site. to be erecte thereon a suitable building, including tire-proof vaults, nniming. heating and ventilating apparatus, elevators, and approaches, for the use and accommodation of the United States post-office, landoffice, and other Government offices, in the city of Stockton and State of California, the cost of said site and building, including said cost. vaults, heating and ventilating apparatus, elevators, and approaches, complete, not to exceed the sum of seventy-five thousand dollars. Proposals for the sale of land suitable for said site shall be invited to be ad-, by pu lic advertisement in one or more of the newspapers of said v° °° city of largest circulation for at least twenty days prior to the date · specified in said advertisement for the opening of said roposals.
