WW; Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the State of smear wasting. Washington shall constitute one judicial district. t°$€fg$°{$l£$t"°°‘ Sec. 2. That the circuit court of the United States in and for the Terms of circuit State of Washirigton shall be held at the times and places provided $3.`{$_S”me"°'°°"°° by law` for the holding of the United States district court in and for said district, and one grand and one petit jury only shall be sum- Jm-ses. moned to serve in both said courts when held at the same place. Sec. 3. That for the purpose of holding terms of the district court, _DiS¤¤·i<=t i¤ four disaid district shall be divided into four divisions, to be known as the `””`°"s‘ eastern, southern, northern, and western divisions. The counties of mmm division. Spokane, Stevens, Okanogan, Douglas, Lincoln, Adams, and Kittitass, including any and al Indian reservations in one or more of said counties, shal constitute the eastern division, the court for which shall be held at the cit of S okane Falls. The counties of Whit- S°”“*°'¤ d*'*¤*·>¤- man, Asotin, Garfield, Uolumbia, Walla Walla, Franklin, Yakima, and Klickitat, including an and all Indian reservations in one or more of said counties, shall constitute the southern division, the court for which shall be held at the city of Walla Walla. The counties of Whatcom, Skagit, San Juan, Island, Snohomish, Clallam, Nmum mum. Jeiferson, Kitsap, and King, including an and all Indian reservations in one or ·more of said counties, shall constitute the northern division, the co1u·t for which shall be held at the city of Seattle. The counties of Pierce, Mason, Thurston, Chehalis, Pacific, Lewis western division. Wahkiakum, Cowlitz, Clarke, and Skamania, including any and all Indian reservations in one or more of said counties, shall constitute glue western district, the court for which shall be held at the city of acoma. ‘ Sec. 4. That all civil suits not of a local character, which shall be Jurisdiction. brought in the district or circuit courts of the United States for the district of Washington, in either of the said divisions against a single defendant, or where all the defendants reside in the same · division of said district, shall be brought in the division in which the defendant or defendants reside, or, if there are two or more defendants residing in different divisions, such suit ma be brought in either division, and all mesne and final process subject to the pro- 1·¤>¤e••,em. visions of this act, issued in either of said divisions, may be served and executed in either or all of said divisions. All issues of fact in ly H °f MM whew civil causes triable in any of the said courts shall be tried in the ' division where the defendant or one of the defendants reside, unless by consent of both parties the case shall be removed to some other division. Sec. 5.
