Treasury be, andhe hereby is, authorized and directed to pay to Alice Walsh the sum of two hundred and forty dollars, which was due the deceased Patrick F. Duggan for services rendered in the Freedman’s Bureau during the months of August, September, and October, eight- _ een hundred and sixty-seven, upon satisfactory proof that she is his only _,{Z{’,§j“’· surviving heir and legal representative: Provided, however, That the sum of two hundred dollars be not paid until the said Alice Walsh shall file with the Secretary a ood and sufficient bond in double said amount to protect the United States against any demand that may be made by any lawful holder of the certificate issued to the said Patrick F. Be it enacted by the Senate and ][ouse of Re esentatives of the United §§,§;§§f,1*·S"m”"`“‘ States of America in Congress assembled, Tqfat the Secretary of the Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place on the pension roll, subject to the provisions and limitations of the pension aws, the name of Charles L. Summers, late second lieutenant Company G, Fifth Regiment Iowa Volunteer Infantry, and pay him a pension at the rate of fifteen dollars per month, the same to be paid im without any deduction or rebate on account of former alleged overpayments or erroneous payments of pension. March 1. 1901- CHAP. 686.-An Act Granting an increase of pension to Bettie Lee Ward. _ Be it enacted by the Senate and House ofRe resentatives of the United ]§’§,§2§,,I{‘§§Q;§,‘;h_ States of America in Congress assembled, Tbat the Secretary of the Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place on the pension roll, subject to the provisions and limitations of the pension laws, the name of Bettie Lee Ward, widow of Edward W. Ward, late captain, Fifth Regiment United States Cavalry, and pay her a pension at the rate of thirty dollars per month in lieu of that she is now receiving, and two dollars per month additional on account of each of l the three minor children of said Edward W.
